Random Sh!te
I don't own a smartphone, nor any sort of technology other than this old beat up pos desktop that I've hunched over for years. Then I looked around and grabbed a sample of 5 things that populate this place.
Feel free to post a pic of 5 things on your desk

Too much sh!te on/in my desk/table/pergola/shed/house/car for a pic Woof, but I'll try and choose some things after yet another Christmas liquid lunch today..............
Just what is the thing with the squiggly line in the top photo? I know the other 4. Is it a secret compass?
Cheers, SB

Just five? Sheesh...
Ok I cheated a little as there`s more than five to give you a hint...
Let`s see... An infrared lamp from china that turned out to be crap, my trustee dagger letter opener I`ve had for years, an engine stet no idea why`s that inside, my micro hexacopter currently in need of a rotor, great fun to fly but EXTREMELY responsive so it`s always all around the walls... Then the last category, an empty loading practice cartridge of a 7,62mm anti-aircraft machine gun, a balsa bullet "snothead" practice round for an assault rifle, live albeit not lethal... points for anyone that guesses what the last bit with the yellow tip is

Nice group, Matti.
The thing with the yellow tip I imagine is some sort of thermo actuator for a deisel motor.
Yes Seb, it is a compass of sorts. When used properly it points in all directions at once yet no direction at all. It's also legal in Washington State. I buy my stash at State licensed vendors

Ok my table.............
Objects are: A selection of fine chocolates - a collaboration between Haighs, Yalumba wines and Coopers brewery that Cathy and I shared over a few glasses of Port and Tokay last night!
A fridge thermometer ready for the post-Christmas camping trip, a shutter thingy from France, a mended light fitting (JB Weld is my friend) and the Laguna keycard.
Cheers, SB

Well, a look-alike practice piece anyway, it's solid loominun and therefore harmless hence the yellow tip.

zzzzzzh! they might hear!!!
"War" trophies from the army. They actually sell the detonator lookalikes in the mess shop for keychains but since it`s solid alu it`s a bit heavy for that. Quite naturally don`t got the mine itself, it`s basically a 20kg 12" round slab of concrete or something similar with a handle on the side. Not fun things to carry for long distances...

Another one, got crap stacked in piles on my table...
Fin-Est-Fin pocket dictionary because particularily for the languages at hand google translate is utterly useless, my trustee hand crafted knife made just a few dozen km:s away from our house for those letters that just don't yield to the dagger, a spirit level absolutely clueless how why or where from, a rechargeable USB pocket warmer and of course the pot from the show this spring.
