Default Pinlock Visor Inserts?

Hi there guys I am the proud owner of a new helmet.

G-Mac Blaze Full Face Motorcycle Helmet - G-Mac - Ghostbikes.com

Great helmet, fits well, double visor system and visor is pin lock ready, (or at least it has the holes ready for the pins). The thing is I've never had pinlock before, can anyone advise me, do I need to order the pins separately or are they supplied with the visor insert?

I think the visor should have had the pinlock pins fitted when you received it.
You should be able to buy just the inserts.
Maybe ask Ghostbikes , but that's how pinlock helmets are purchased here.

Very nice helmet !

Thanks for the reply Pete.

The visor is drilled and has plastic plugs which insert into the visor itself, are they the 'pins'?

Sorry for the retard questions, showing my ''noobness''

I bow to your greater knowledge

Yup, those are the pins.
I've never had one with pinlocks but some of my mates do.
Make sure when you buy the visor plastic inserts that fit your specific visor/helmet.
Different helmets sometimes take different size inserts, so measure and then buy.....
I have had to buy tearoffs for friends off e-Bay and found out that way.........

I don't know more than you, just been around longer

Found this on E-Bay

Nice looking helmet hawkwind,

Soooo.....I haven't seen these type of shields before. I take it that you would ride with clear shield at night but in the day you install a dark the pin lock shield over it? Like a shield over a shield?

Be handy when you get splatter by a big bug.

^^^^^^

There's an inner dark visor that's operated by the red switch at the base of the helmet to flip it up or down.

But I've heard good things about the anti-fogging properties of pinlock inserts, thought I'd give them a try in this colder weather.

Snazzy Lid Hawk - My icon came with the pin installed - go figure

Just picked up and EXO 500 "oil" which has the internal solar visor too
the main reason I got it .....as I had an old ZOX Genesis with one and missed
it a lot

Those solar drop downs are the nuts in my opinion

I use a photochromic insert - also stops the visor misting.
Best all- round solution especially if you ride a lot in changing light conditions.

I would love to get one of those, but I can't find them in the US. Ghostriders wants $109.00 us for the helmet and $100.00 just for shipping, yikes!

Anyone know where to get them in the US?
