Hey guys, parts unlimited 1003-1303 carburetor rebuild kit comes with lots of stuff, but not all perfectly OEM.

here is an image of the slide needle against the one that came in the kit. It's way different. Longer and fatter. Am I not supposed install all of the other washers that go in the top end? Still it's way longer

 

Yes... they work!
I installed the needles from the parts kit as is (with the OEM washer underneath) and it runs great! I called parts unlimited, and they claimed it was a "better design" and will "last longer". So there is that.

I only ended up with 8 extra o rings I have no idea where they go as i replaced everything i knew of. (4 extra o rings that were the same as the float bowl, and 4 the same as the main fuel T)
No leaks, runs great!

I did have one of the float bowl drain screws leak, but I sanded the plug screw tips with 2000 grit sand paper and it sealed right up.

Great kit, recomend
