The article confused me for a second, but funny as hell.
I could definitely see Steve doing that... Seriously.

If the laws over here live up to their reputation the bloke that stole the bike will get off scott free & the bike owner will be charged with possible jail time. Go figure.
Those stakes are rough as & the splinters would be something else too. Glad I'm not the medico trying to remove them all.

Maybe the owner of the bike impaled him in the first place, AND broke his nose.
I can see Steve doin' THAT.............arar
Deserved what he got IMO.

Thieving bastard ..........only real issue was he got nailed in the armpit
and not where the sun don't shine........ personally speaking he'd a been
greeting a Hornady TAP 45 +p for his efforts at stealing my bike.

But then I forgot in OZ no more citizen gun rights !

There wasn't a rope and a strong branch close? Nevermind the wallet, that thieving bastard is lucky to be alive. I suppose he will somehow try to play the victim in this.
Keep us posted on how this plays out...

Betting the wallet theft was primarily for the IDs inside.

Anyone with an IQ would figure the owner now knows who he is and that bike had better not move again.

Yep, ID was probably the primary reason.... revenge as a secondary...

I'd be interested to see the outcome of this story, but it probably won't make headlines.
