Default Is this an original accessory?

This CBR caught my eye for 3 reasons, the main one was the pillion cover - looks original. Were these an accessory available from Honda?
How is it fitted/locked down?

The other 2 were 'Ride Red' in orange script and the other, well, that's obvious.

i would have certainly got one if available.

I did not pick that up TK, long day, as for the seat back they have popped up in different threads. I believe an Aussie member manufactured some at one stage from fibreglass and was looking at making some more, someone will come in soon that knows more I am sure, you might find something with the search button in the meantime.

I wouldn't have, in fact I'm probably just the kind of a55hole that told him that went that way round in the first place.

These are the only pics that survive on the forum
CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners - cbrsixpack's Album: 92 Red White & Blue
I don't know why they were deleted.........
he wanted around $400 each as I recall.
The original thread still exists.

No pictures of the process though.

Is this the sort of thing you mean?

honda cbr1000f single seat converter solo seat hump nos rare late 80's on | eBay

Spotted it this morning on my daily Ebay trawl - it doesn't specify which year exactly, just late 80's...

Dave.

Your first pic / post - the tail seems custom too - to fit to the (what imo) is a custom
pillion cover.
