What in your opinion is the best new DualSport / Adventure Sport bike
under 10k these days ( basically excludes the BMW, Super Tenere etc high end stuff out of the equation )

You don't want one.

Hell, that was easy.

Well that rules out a KLR then LOL

To be honest tho' there's some sweet 2012 KLE650 deals at the moment !

Rode one yesterday and I was somewhat impressed - which is not a good thing !!!!!!!!

That's not a bad idea, tbh. Despite recent posts.

Sprock... where are you taking this bike? That's the big thing.

I've been riding dirt all my life and I bought the KLR because I missed that.
But... it's not a street bike and it's not a trail bike.

If you want a trail bike, I'd suggest an XR250 with a baja kit.

If you want a street bike, then STFU.

+1 ^^

Don't necessarily want a hard out trail bike, just be nice to have something for the occasional day ride round here that isn't scared of gravel.

But as an addition of course, not a replacement.

+Weestrom 650 or Transalp 650.

Ridden both on overseas journeys thousands of Km on and off road and loved them both.

The BEST however, would be the Weestrom motor in the Transalp chassis

But that's nit picking

Cheers, SB

PS: Then of course there is the Africa Twin or DR750/800 or (early) Yamaha 750 Super Tenere - but you have to be a bit to punt them hard on dirt!

What about a Kawi Versys? Don't know too much about them other than they are kinda similar to a Wee.

There was a guy on ADV Rider from Greece trying to sell a Africa Twin... It needs a serious overhaul, though

Well you are all kinda thinking the same way I am right now except Trout
as usual lol he's off in the corner somewhere doing crazy ****

Not looking for an out right trail bike and if I was it'd be a Bultaco or Ossa
old school type of deal.

Looking for a modern DualSport 2009 on up under 10k
