Default One Problem Goes Away, Another One Arises

First it was bogging down when hot, I put some sea foam in and it was hard to start, it would die immediately when the choke was on, But once it warmed up, with me revving it, it would do fine. I dessembled the carbs yesterday and cleaned them really well. Now, it won't start without the choke being on full and as soon as I give it gas, it dies. It sounds like it isn't getting enough gas. Any ideas of why? Thanks.

Pablo .......have you checked your tank for rust and chit ? Did you put in an inline
filter ?

Full choke start is fairly normal, but dying on throttle indicates once again there's
chit in there...........just thinking ya might have chit in the tank.

Might want to pull the tank off pull the petcock and check . .....my 2 c's

The tank looks good and I do have an online fuel filter but I don' t know when it was last replaced so I will put a new one on. Maybe I will pour some more sea foam in there and check the petcock.

I checked the tank more closely and there is indeed rust in there.
Should I kreem it or ball bearings and shake it or what? Thanks

Bingo ..........new filter and a tank sealer treatment s'what I'd recommend
and you better take the petcock apart and clean it ........you'll have to ......
....to seal the tank anyway

So while you are at all that ....pull carb's one more time......hey you've
gotten good at it by now

I'm a KBS fan so here's a link..........but Kreem as good too

OR .........LAZY WAY

Grab a good tank on ebay

Yeah take your time with it ........follow the details on how to do it .

Tape off and protect your paint
with plastic and whatever take cap and hardware
off too, do it on a bench remove petcock etc...... don't forget there's
your fuel gauge to think about too.

Remember not to get sealer where petcock screws in etc too.

Take your time and plan the whole thing in your head before jumping into it.
Really ... it should be a piece of cake .

Last thing ........ take pics ........it'll slow ya down and that'll stop ya ****en it up

Tank Sealing:
yeah it would make for a good entry in the How To Section.
Condensation in warmer humid climates gets the rust going.
