An interesting interview I heard on the radio today, so sorry, no pictures, just a sound file, put in on in the background while you're doing something else.
It piqued my interest because I had heard something of this before.
Call it Karma, fate or "the angels"; sometimes events in life just align to take you where you are meant to be.
I can only imagine that this guys life would have been a whole lot more unpleasant if he hadn't made the mistake of falling asleep on a train.

Mrs SB got the book for her birthday - the book - A Long Way Home.
And by golly doesn't he have an Aussie accent.

Indeed he does; made it so much easier to listen to than someone with that Indian accent ringing me to tell me that they are from "Microsoft, and I have issues with my PC"
When Joy is finished with the book "set it free", you know the adress, I'm a little bit fascinated by this story, will be so dissapointed if it all just turns out to be a load of bollocks.
Cheers mate.

We'll let you know the veracity - and how good it is. And if you are happy with the answers we'll post it over.
Back soon I'm hunting a mouse in the kitchen

I think you'll find that it's actually spelt moose.
Can't be that hard to find, big scary animal with large horns, can't really hide in your kitchen.
Check the microwave.

Funny thing. I listen almost strictly to NPR, which in my country brands you as a Liberal,
(I can hear the ughs from those rock-ribbed Republicans in the NE) but on Saturdays, me and Mrs. Woof, sit and listen to fascinating stories in this vein.
Brilliant story.
I love radio

I have never particularly considered myself as a Liberal.
National Radio provides an interesting mix of all kinds of stories and interviews.
When I started as a surveyor, a field party would consist of a minimum of three people. Nowadays, with the advent of GPS, and robotic instruments I rarely travel into the field with anyone else.
So, National Radio, in the work truck, while I potter about in the field on my own, gives me something interesting (and sometimes challenging) to listen to.
Not in any way a political position, just something I do to try and keep my brain alive while I sometimes do quite tedious work.
