Bought a 1988 a couple days ago, currently have all the body panels off to fix bad cracks + gouges before repainting back to factory. Looking forward to learning from everyone here.

Default 93 CBR1000F in the Bay Area!

Hey there! Just bought my Hurricane - it's a 93 with 60k miles. The gentleman I bought it from had clearly loved it and cared for it, and I will do the same.
Had an amazing ride home - I'm coming up from a Ninja 500, so suddenly there is a lot more of everything. But loving it so far, and can't wait to do some touring on it.
Glad to find this forum, as it looks like a great resource. Here's to meeting some of you folks and lots of good, safe riding!

Default A slightly older newbie

Hi folks, after using and consulting this forum quite intensively for the past 2-3 months I've just spotted this section so thought I'd introduce myself albeit rather belatedly. I'm a Brit who's home is in Bristol, South West England but who spends a lot of time in the South of France (where my 1991 1000FM of British origin sits). Due to French laws forbidding bikes over 105hp mine has been stuck in the garage for 10 years. Those laws have recently changed and so I've been spending the last couple of months reactivating my Cbr to enable me to enjoy riding the roads of the Cote d'Azur. I've already got some really helpful advice on carb cleaning and enjoy the rest of the conversations that appear throughout the forum. Very pleased to be a part of such a knowledgeable forum.
