I had a Kwaka 1000 with an ATP Turbo Pack fitted , for over 35,000 klms
...28 lb boost !! lowered 6.5 to 1 compression ratio ...geared for only 230 klms per hr ... the word quick did not quite explain her adequately... sick chit !! , nearly killed my self a few times on that beast ..

Yup.. its was my commute too , to some degree ....I lived up in the mountains , with a 70 klm run into pick up my truck for work most clear days ...and some very wet cold days ..

I did not use 28 lbs everywhere , or I would not be here now LOL...
200 klm per hr power roll on wheelies !!! and that's the gods truth ..
$4000.00+ for the engine build to drag bike spec ( by Peter Allen ) and the Turbo Kit , way back in the dark ages ..

Built 2 turbo specific ..engine's identical ..mine and a mates , in my workshop at home ..
BTW ...my mate made it about 4 klms from home and high speed wobbles at near 180klm per hr caused him to wreck his immediately... !! they were bad news !! but fun ..I got used to mine and could do some mad chit on it .....great memories , but not what I suggest anyone try ...

Had that Kwaka from new in 1976 ..kept her for just over 10 years , from when I was 18 years old ...including the last few with the turbo..

 

The oil cooler was not so huge ...just above the exhaust at the front yu can see it.. never had much trouble with bearing temp either ...prolly because we used to putter around back in those days at pretty high speeds pretty much everywhere !!...LOL lots of air movement to do the job ...
