I felt odd also with the Vfr with its 244kg on fueld up.
Light weight. And feels like making its own desisions on riding.
My cbr was 270kg. I loved handling that heavy bike on turns. YEs I found it to be an issue that I never found out if I could lift it up if was on side, But I was able to push it on side, eventough It was a challenge every time. And I was mastering the tecnique of getting it into mid footpeg.
About 30 kg made a huge difference to me. On road. Handling. And now I ended up with even lighter bike. So I am scared from my experiance with lighter weight bikes. Cause with heavier bike I felt I could trust myself and the bike on curves.

Ofcourse it comes down to trusting myself with the bike. At the end of the day my 270 kg Cbr felt WAY more safer than any of the light weight bikes I have rided with.

But I gess I cant tell before snow melts and I can actually go for a ride.

About tires, thanks for the tip. I just realised I havent checked em jet, they looked quite solid. No cracks etc. Are they reliable or should I still change em? According to papers it has riden last in 2006/2007..

I change them more often than most riders because I ride hard. I like to put her down and use all the tire. For that reason I like a tire that hasn't harden with age and is still fresh. In this LINK bottom of section 3, they say 10 years.

If your checking them and they look good, like you say, no cracking, I would think that it would not hurt to use them.

If it wasn't rode un the last 8 years and the full weight was kept on the tires, I'd change them. Its hard to imagine they're not squared at all. Have you rode the bike yet or rolled it fast enough make sure they're not squared?

No I havent. will be able to ride hopefully in 4 weeks from now atleast Weather here is warming up in unexpected speed. Atleast by feeling with hand am not able to say that something would be wrong. Honestly I am surprised how well bike is kept.
Looks like prev owner has still made recular checks to the bike. But will see that after I have riden a bit.
But keeping an open mind. I expected it to be in more worse condition And I am suspicious about the tires. Since eventough I cant notice anything, the idea of not used tires for about 7/8 years. Does not sound very appealing.

I'd change the tyres, irrespective of how they feel, Missy.
They degrade over time and especially when not used.

The only time you notice a problem may be when it's too late !

Well I would love that. Better safe than sorry.
Probably gonna do a test ride tough. A small one with them since spring is like too close and not enough funds to supply myself with new tires. Will see what I can do about it but yea Most probably New tires it is ))

Too much stress on what to do and everything depends on you right now, not yesterday not tomorrow. I know, It is an everyday thing but somehow I feel stress over it. Like everything collapses. Past, present, future. Thoughts, dreams, ideas, wishes, hopes. And life is what you make out from it. SO I am trying my best to make something out from it and STRESS LESS Enjoy more

Thank you for support Seb!
