My daughter got married!

Congratulations Thrasher and my best wishes to the happy couple .
There's me thinkin' you're a spring chicken and all the time your an 'Old F4rt' like the rest of us
Seriously , you gotta let 'em do their own thing and just be there to support them both if they need or want it. You've done all the work bringing her up the right way , now let her prove you did a good job

Congratulations. I concur with the comments of the others. I'm a grandparent but no wedding yet. That's still to come.....I hope?? I remember how proud I felt dancing with my middle daughter at her débutante ball. If you were only half as proud as that giving your daughter away then it's no wonder that you're on an emotional rollercoster. Remember, life isn't over but just beginning. Yes you have gained a son but don't forget your wife. Beware of empty nest syndrome. Spend a little time re affirming your relationship together. Most important. That way you & your wife will be well equipped to handle the rough patches that will inevitably follow at some stage & weather the storm. Best of luck.

My daughter is 20 and I can imagine how you feel. The only advice I can provide is what I try to follow with my daughter and that is to make sure she knows that no matter what and no matter when she can come to you for anything. Being a dad is a tremendous gift and it doesn't have an expiry date. Enjoy this new chapter.
