Talking My Bikes New Stablemate

Picked this little beauty up yesterday

She's a CLK 320, couldn't resist at the price and today I picked up a set of 18 inch AMG alloys with almost new tyres, also at a bargain price to complete the picture.

Score!!

I think it might be

And so it will have to be goodbye to old faithful :-

Congrats on the new wheels! I was actually eyeballing those before ending up with the Alfa I have now.

One thing did catch my eye though... Not too often you see the word "faithful" when speaking about a Saab What`s wrong with that? Just got bored? Cause it`s not looking too tatty either.

Basically I've been hankering after a CLK for well over a year and trying to convince my wife it was a good idea

The Saab has been an excellent car and for a 14 year old car, it's in fantastic condition. If you remember, I suggested a Saab in your thread when you were looking for a convertible for the winter.

I'll be sorry to see it go, but it's too powerful for my son to insure when he eventually passes his test ( 210BHP), and another car outside the house would be a right PITA!

I just hope the Merc proves to be as reliable as the Saab.

I do remember. But if I'd ever buy a Saab it'd have to be the 9-3x and those are so expensive I could just get the XC-70 Oceanrace Volvo I've been drooling after for years and still have some to put into the tank. Or another option from the Trollhättan factory would be an R730

Nice looking unit, my wife and I got passed a couple of days ago by a Merc, it was a something something letter63 AMG, it was going that quick I couldn't read the letters and it sounded like it could tow the Titanic, fantastic!
