Depends how much cash you have........................
I'm not prepared to go into debt for a new 1200VFR, so in the second hand market, mine would probably be a Blackbird or (God help me) a Hayabusa.......................
And mine turned 21 in January, but like any girl she always wants something................

I think a nice replacement for relatively short money might be a ZZR1200 (not sure if this US designation matches up in the EU or elsewhere). this bike wasn't made for long, but it's a solid S/t bike (meaning, s/t with emphasis on sport imo, as opposed to an FJR or whatever). They didn't sell all that well here, and can be had at a pretty reasonable price. There was even a factory hard-bag option.

That is a good bike, DDT. Our president had one, and I did a couple of runs on it - has a few more ponies than the Hurri, but not a bad machine at all, at all. Service costs at the stealership are wicked on the ZZR..........

Rob, you could just upgrade to a newer 1000F. lol...
It would buy you 7 more years if you got a '99.

No love for the CBF1000? A friend of mine got one a few months back and loves it. He upgraded from a mid-80s Nighthawk 750
