Default For Lovers of things Mechanical

This series started showing in NZ last night.

Just got around to watching the first episode an hour ago (gotta love my Sky box).

I think that there will be some amongst the faithful that will enjoy this.

Hey, you're coming into your Autumn, you need something to distract yourself on unpleasant days. This series will just work mighty fine when you can't be a5sed going outside and sweeping up leaves.

So correct if I'm wrong

The BDA Escort with the twin cam head was a totally different animal?

I have just watched a program about Landrovers.

I have no idea why I would ever do that.

But, it was actually a bit interesting.

I fear for my sanity.

Looking at cardigans online.

So, up to episode 3. I always thought that Stags had the good old reliable Rover V8.

Bit of a revelation to find out that they had 2 Triumph slant 4's cobbled together.

That was a piece of sh1te engine that they used in the Dolomites, why would anyone ever think of screwing two of them together to make a V8??

Just go look in the BL parts bin and use that tasty little V8 Rover engine (which from memory was based on a Buick design).

Jeez Teeks
Could have been a lot worse they could have used 2 A H Sprite motors joined at the crank that would have been a real recipe for disaster.

Yes acknowledged, but two little AH Sprite engines would make a sassy little 2.2L V8.

I seem to recall someone called Edward Turner coming up with a similar idea for your particularly favored brand of car????

Huh?

I didn't know Edward Turner was involved in the V8 Trabant!
