Default Interesting

This showed up in my mailbox at work this morning.

Gotta say I never knew that.

Faster and Faster: Frog 750: The Yamaha concept that inspired two of the most successful Hondas ever

Please excuse the Bikes and Babes Chainstretcher, it's not my website so I can't stop him putting pictures of women amongst his bike pics.

Have subscribed to this thread for a couple of years now, it's turns up some absolute gems at times.

Yamaha blew it on that one.

They got the styling right but could they have put the same mechanicals that Honda put under ours?

Yep the yamie lads duffed that one nicely eh, but luckily they brought us the RZ250, 350 and the 500, so they sorta made up for it eh.

BMW blew it too - they had a couple of bikes that looked like a 1000F but didn't put them into full production - there's a thread about it somewhere. Even the 2000 onward model 1200RS and GT's from BMW have strong early 1000F influences.

That's why these old girls are so timeless.

I just wish they'd left them with gear driven cams..................................
