A Hurricane in a museum ?
Yeah, OK point taken Steve, I'm just being one of those old fashioned worry warts aren't I?
Had an interesting discussion with the owner of one of the local transport museums last week ; he's a bit keen to take the old girl off my hands and put her on display over the winter.
Damn I'm so proud to even to be asked.

There is no getting around the fact as we all have said many times here , that not very many bike's as old as ours are still even around at all on the bloody roads , let alone ones with seemingly timeless design and yup beautiful lines , that still are dam near in keeping with so many current day bikes !!!!
I would take the guy up on the offer mate !!!!! but hey?? , how big a clean and polish job will that deserve !!! ???? lolol

On the plus side; I'm sure the old girl would just love a climate controlled environment to spend the winter in as opposed to my somewhat slightly chilly garage.
Downside; separation anxiety, we've already lost our two lovely daughters to universities in other cities, without the old girl to go and talk to in the garage I might have to reacquaint myself with my wife.

Mind you, it is an alternative that I hadn't considered.
Might be best, if that particular train of thought never gets to leave the station.

Exactly my problem Steve, if I'm upstairs and within earshot I will have to respond to all the random thoughts viz:
"I think we should get the lounge furniture reupholstered" (even though we hardly ever use the lounge.)
"I haven't bought myself any new clothes for ages"
"I think you should start wearing nicer shirts to work"
"So how much do you think that old bike is worth?; you could get a really nice pair of jeans if you sold that".
But; if I'm downstairs in the garage, these random thoughts will come and go like a fart in a hurricane, and I will never have to come up with a seemingly intelligent answer.
