Sunday took a ride with some friend to a bar/grill, had some chips and salsa and a couple ice cold beers, a great afternoon.
Got back a little after dark so covered the bike and was going to garage it in the morning, do this frequently, no problems.
I live in a very nice, quiet and safe neighborhood. Monday morning take the dog out to pee, notice cover half off bike, didn't think we had much wind that night, but went on with the dog. Then it hit me my mag, tank bag was gone, I was so pissed! Lived here for 25 years and never had any problem till now. Called sheriff, and they were there in 5 mins. WTF, discovered there were 30 reports for that night, I was the 3 recorded.
The bad thing was I had a spare reg/rect. in it with about $200.00 of other stuff. Now i'm screwed, have to file with home owner insurance, $1000.00 deductible, life can suck sometime, lol

You can call me paranoid, but i always take off everything from my bike that can be stolen (including top case). I always lock my steering, and secure bike with very thick titanium chain, disc lock, steel cable and i put motorcycle cover. Should i mention there is a guard sitting in that public garage 24/7, looking directly on my parking spot? And i live across the street

Maybe it's just me, maybe it's because mentality of the people here. But thieves are everywhere!

 

Bastiks should be beaten about the "private parts" until children are an impossible dream. Next comes kneecaps !
