The other grumpy old ***** is my elderly brother (Sorry John, I've just remembered I forgot your birthday; 61 is it?)
He's actually quite a good bugger, just an older and less tolerant version of me.
Hard to believe, but I kid you not.

OK! Soooo, on the other half of this big ball, below the center line, when you say come down do you mean to say come up???? And when do you expect to see people showing up? When you say summer do you really mean to say winter even though it's warm out?????
Does Santa have to deliver on the up side first and then go home and install wheels on the sleigh, to deliver on the down side in the summer winter??
One thing I do know is...you can ski or ride a motorcycle 365 days a year...you just need to figure out how to get there.

When I say "come down" I am referring to the people in the North Island of NZ. South is down, North is up.
"When do I expect people to show up?"
We're starting to swelter in our summer now, you guys in the northern hemisphere may have set up all the traditions of a jolly Santa in a snow covered sleigh but the reality for us is a BBQ and probably a day at the beach (if I lived near one)
As for Santa's delivery schedule I think it has more to do with the east/west thing than the north/south thing.
In theory he should start his deliveries in NZ because we are so close to the dateline and are first to see Dec 25. But I look up the page in my schoolgirl atlas and find there is some feckin town in Russia that is at the same latitude as me, so when it's 10:00 am at my house its also 10:00 am at some Russian peasants house.
So she has to go out and start cooking borsch and I have to go out and fire up the BBQ . Go figure.

You may have to suffer the indignity of riding a Gixxer, but I've done it and it can be done. Once you hit 7K in third gear you kind of get over the embarrassment.
Don't forget the Cupcake tee shirt so you can be a total squid on a Gixxer.

OK, it's now 12:15am in NZ. Have just been down and looked in my garage.
I didn't see an unused, never been registered, put aside and forgotten about, H2 down there anywhere.
And yes before you ask; I did look in the washing machine, even though I know there is no way you could fit an H2 in there.
He is clearly testing my faith.
Maybe he started up north and is still working his way down here.
I'll have another look in the morning.

OK, so no undiscovered H2s still in the original shipping container.
But I do think my daughters might have their old man nailed when it comes to Chrissy presents.
Has to be my favorite present (well if I'm honest it was my only one - but that's OK, I'm far too old for the whole present ****e)
