The Gods of Speed were not smiling at me yesterday
In fact I think they were laughing and pointing:
There are some positives we can take out of this thou'
1) If there is an award for consistency I have to be in the running for this month. Two tickets, 11 minutes apart for 2 km/h difference is I think a sterling effort.
2) Mission Control was in the passengers seat and nearly wet herself laughing the second time.
3) If you happen to be in NZ and are travelling on SH6 near Cromwell you now know that doughnut time in the Cromwell Police Station is 16:00 and they will be heading back to the station around that time.
4) I hope they both got back to the station too late to get the doughnuts with the scrummy pink icing.
5) I will pay my $160 and the world will undoubtedly be a better and safer place.

I thought you would be, which is why I offered this up as a cautionary tale to you all.
And yes we do have a point scoring system (demerit) system over here . Those puppies are worth 20 points each, if you get to 100 you get to sample the delights of public transport for a month. Fortunately in NZ it is not necessary to be bare-footed and have a cage of live chickens in order to ride on a bus (I think, to be fair it has been quite some time since I've been on a bus so maybe the rules have been changed to bring us into line with India)

I had noticed that, but I don't think it's worth taking issue with. You have to remember this all about public safety.
Apparently if I just pay my $80 goodness and light will descend upon the earth and the roads will be a safer place for all motorists.
