Talking Found my bike's twin for sale.... now what?

Well, I was riding home from work on my CBR today and I notice my bike's twin parked along the road with a "for sale" sign on it.
It's at a little local car dealer.
It has 29k miles and great plastics....
It appears to have VFR bars on it (or something similar).
It's also got a Corbin seat.

It's a dirty beatch, though... which is the only thing that has me a little put off. Chain is black!
Tells me someone didn't love her correctly..... lol... (and give her WD40 like they should... )

I asked the nice dealership lady and she says it's not in the system or on the price list, but she'll call the owner.
She calls and he says $2,000.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna end up going back to at least run it.
I told my wife about it, and she said "So when are we going to pick it up??"
She knows me well, but dammit! This would be my 6th vehicle (just for me!)

What to do.... what to do...

Haha!!

Here's the thing... if I could get it for like $1,600-$1,700 I'd probably jump on it.
With a few hundred in parts, I know I could make it sweet.
I have a problem....

But dam... it's got good plastics and a Corbin!
One classy old literbike...

There was a crowd forming around it as I was leaving.... LOL..

I'm about 3hrs west of you...

I went down there again to see the bike tonight. lol...
Missed them closing by 15mins and they had already locked all the bikes up.
There was a dude in the parking lot that said "The owner guy said it needs a new battery, but he's gonna put a new one on it tomorrow morning if you want to hear it run"
I said, "How about a test ride"
He said "Just ask him tomorrow, he'd probably let you"

So I guess we shall see.....

I'm actually supposed to go look at an '01 TL1000R tomorrow after work, too. (for a buddy.....lol..)

The KLR just about heaved me anyway.... a couple weeks ago.
Throttle pinned coming up over a gravelly hill and did a nice powerslide. Saved it just before a sharp lefty... lol...
It was kinda cool till I didn't think I was gonna make the turn..
My CBR will be ok with it, though. I always tell her how the other girls don't mean a thing...

This guy who wants the TL is planning on trading $500 and a Yamaha 450 dirtbbike.

Just buy it Dylan - you can always swap all the good plastics onto one bike later if you decide to sell. Then you can send me the Corbin.....hehe
And keep the bike for when I come to visit.............
And I know you like dirty girls................
