Unhappy Embarrassing FAIL

Learn from other people's mistakes. If you buy a disk brake lock, make sure you have some type of system to remind you that it is on. It took all of two seconds for me to ride six inches forward and fall four feet sideways.

No fairing damage because my body stopped the bike from hitting the ground. It's a good thing I had boots on at the time or my ankle would have hurt worse than it did.

I've seen disc-locks with a stretchy chord that wraps around the handlebars to act as a reminder. Don't like disc-locks

Now that's dedication! Throwing youself between bike and ground . Glad you and the bike are ok. It could have been nasty if you'd have fallen into another bike or a car worthbulk $$.

Never used a disk lock. If I did I'd do exactly what you've just done.

If I want to lock it up I use the fork lock. I think it works as good as a disk lock. I also have a stretchy cord that is in my tank bag attached to my side stand pad. It reminds me not to leave it behind.
