Default Damn sussies again

Good news nice day and heading out for a breakfast with Heather.
Good news bikes running ace
Good news Heathers enjoying it as much as me
Bad news center stand touches down again round semi decent bends
Bad news center stand touches down over the big bumps over Beeley Moor

Took it steady only going fast on the straights and when I got home had a look see. The second hand Hagon I got of flebay and Chippy fitted is now spongy £180 wasted, Ive only used it 3 times.

Damn n damn and words with lots of EFFIN F's in em.

Recondition or save up for new - recommendations??

Ok David, if you ask me go for a new one, fitted in an hour and set up will be spot on.

I will look into where to get it recon'd and as I know most of the local ones will see what could be a good deal.

leave it with me for a recon and I'll get back to you shortly...if that's ok.

I much prefer suzzies, preferably combined with stiletto heels, something like this

Would have thought a re-build would be the cheapest option, but have you inspected the unit to see if there has been any damage/leakage?

Is there no room for adjustment? After all a shock that is set-up for a single rider, won't cope so well with two.

I'm sure I know that face in Hawks picture. If not where can I meet her.

David, there are plenty of places that rebuild the rear shock. Average price is about £100 plus postage. The only thing is it will take between 7 & 10 days to get it done. If you can handle that then I would go for that. Should be as good as new. Even Hagon do a rebuild service which gives you a 2 year guarantee with unlimited milage.

I will look for their site and post it shortly.

It's a dirty job I know, but I would be prepared to inspect that unit for damage/leakage.

It did occur to me that the touching down also coencided with bumpy roads so maybe more damping would help? Panels off at the weekend to see if its adjustable..
