Vespa vs. Harley is a toss up for me....
Harry, I ride with a few guys on Harleys and it's a constant argument. They've been getting a little quieter lately, though, because I've really been hitting them hard. I used to play nice, but I've been nailing them on the "Price, performance, and Reliability" angle. They don't like it...
Shadow, I call 'em Hardley Ablesons.
My boss just got a new one. What an absolute POS.
I'm not joking one bit, either. If somebody gave me a Harley, I would sell it without even riding it. I'd be too afraid it would break down, leave me stranded, and then I'd have a huge bill just trying to get it running well enough to unload it.
His brand new bike has been in the shop 3 times now. I think he has 400miles on it. Overheating issues, leaking head, etc.
And he paid... get this... $32,000!!!
If you haven't passed out yet, or fell off your chair in laughter..... it's an '09 Screamin' Eagle Road Glide (with a couple small accessories).
Ugly-*** orange with an eagle head on the front.
Wait....here's a pic...
But back to the OP's post...
Yes, this is a great forum. Cool people from all over the world, and the best info on CBRs that you're gonna find anywhere.

Exactly. We always have the most fun.
I couldn't agree more.
I told him that the eagle on the front was "interesting", and then he said "Yep, that screamin' eagle costs about $10,000 more."
He said it like I was supposed to be impressed.
I was SOOO impressed!!!
Then another guy mentioned how I rode a V-Rod "Muscle" a few weeks ago, and the bossman asked how I liked it.
I said it was "ok", and then he said "Yeah, I bet it was strange with the hydraulic clutch and all".....
WTF??
I told him how my CBR had a hydraulic clutch, too, and he acted like I was speaking a different language so I dropped the subject.
Then my other buddy (who brought the whole thing up) explained to me that the hydraulic clutch is a $700 option on some of the Harleys...

That Orange and Silver POS takes the prize of "Two Wheeled chitbox of the Year" award.
Only thing missing is handle bar streamers in orange hanging off the bar ends
And Harry I wouldn't call it friction, it's more a question of being very very very .........

but feel sorry for them most of the time. They suffer from ance syndrome
Ignorance and Arrogance...........oh and nearly forgot perpetual flatulance
