I know this is way off topic, I am looking at buying a 2008 Peugeot 407 2.7 twin turbo diesel for my wife. We don't see many European type cars down this far south so I was hoping someone who lives in civilisation may know what they are like and what to look out for. Any advice would be helpful.

A mate of mine has one in the UK.
Has had no problems with it that I know of. Quite quick too

Interesting read, thanks shadow, and yeah TK she ain't a bad wife, she is the one who told me to get the bike rebuilt to stop it blowing smoke. As a bonus she likes her work as a school teacher which is good as I retired hurt over 10 years ago and have not found a job since(not really looking either)

I'd say! Barefoot in the kitchen or riding the horse and buggy to the store, but.... a car???? WOW! AND HE IS PAYING FOR IT! WOW!!!!!
