Talking Cam Chain Tools

Any of you do-it-yourselfers have advice on brand or a source for chain tools? The chain and CCT are on the winter project plan. I don't mind spending a little extra for tools that work well. Perhaps you have a set for sale. Please include brand, part numbers, purchased from. Heck I'll rent if that works for anyone. Thanks in advance guys.

I found a real nice motionpro tool set on ebay from a dealer for about $80 which is about $30 less than retail. Nice set. I'll get you a part number if ya like.

This is the one I picked up...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOTIO...Q5fAccessories

The little guy on the left (lower left) is what I used to push the pin out, and the one to the right of it is what I used to make the rivet smash. Be careful tho. I kinda bent the little guy when making the rivet. You can easily bend 'em if you over torque it like I did. I'll send a pic of it when I get home tomorrow.

The instructions showed roller chains (like in a drive chain) with this kit, but it has the anvils you need to do the rivets. We kinda had to wing it, but it worked out fine.

Thanks Shadow. I've not bought yet but it sounds like they are no trouble to get state-side. Anyone care to share opinion on chains here, I'm all ears.

This is what I was talking about by bending the push pin. This set was really intended for a roller style chain. I realized that AFTER I bought it so make sure you have the right one. We made it work though. We did bend the little one though you can see in the pic.

Pic 1 - The bent pin

Pic 2 - YELLOW is the one we used to push the chain's pin out and that went perfect. Attempting the rivet, it was too small (why it bent). RED was the one we used to make the rivet and it worked perfectly.

Pic 3 - Tool in action!

I forgot to mention it.... I got my chain from England. VERY happy with it and it was cheaper than Honda's. I'll have to look it up, but a good company to work with. Would do it again in an instant....

Its in the Red/Blue Box. Kinda funny... bought in England, made in Japan. Kinda like all our stuff here is made in Mexico....

Also kinda odd..... I.D. = International Distributors..... is there a "D" missing? As in D.I.D? They look like the same type of script..... Maybe I'm crazy.
