Anyone else think that in ^^^ season, they were really going to try and end the show? They put way too much stock into that plot for such a seemingly pointless event...

The Aryans will capture Jesse and force him to cook. Walt will go on the run now that evidence will show he was at the site where Hank & Gomie were murdered. After laying low for a while, he will catch wind that Jesse is still being forced to cook. That's why he buys the M60, to save Jesse. The ricin pill behind the electrical outlet is for Lydia. Because we all know Walt wouldn't shoot her.
