Back in the saddle :) 94 cbr 1000F
Hello all its good to be back. I sold my 88 Hurricane last May I miss the beast. She had 63k on her, ran like a champ when I sold her. The guy was a enthusiast also that bought her. I was looking to get a blackbird but they are just to pricey. Well the nice ones are. Found several in the lower range 3000-3500 and they were ragged and not well taken care of. I looked at one that was 5500 it was nice but I could not let the money go. Kinda discouraged I started looking at 90-96 cbr 1000F s. Well they arent to many to choose from around here. But i did find one this week and snapped her up. It was a 2hr drive one way. But I think its worth it. Here is a short video and some pics. Its a great looking bike. I have to go through the carbs and clean, replace the rubber intake carb holders. There old and brittle. Pulling air in. Spray starting fluid on the intake carb holders and the RPM goes way up. All 4 did this. Not a big deal, I replaced them on the cane and she ran great. I may have to do the cam chain and tensioner she has 35K on her. Did that on the cane also. Bike has been sitting on and off for 2 years. The owner was cool and keep her garage kept while he owned her.
Heres the good stuff. New Michelin tires, KN filter, Two brothers exhaust, new front bearings, I drove her home, she ran ok. Theres alot more in her.
Bike is in really good shape. One area is messed up and that is the right side where the factory frame slider is. The plastic part that covers up the frame slider is missing. The price was right also.
Heres some pictures.

Yes I did.. The previous owner was 6 ft 2 inches , he loved them. I am 6-1 and they seem more comfortable than my 88 Hurricane. The verdict has not been decided as I have to really lift my foot to touch the rear brake foot pedal with the front bottom of my foot. As far as long distance cruising I bet they would be great. I just got the bike as you know and have not rode on it much. Shifting took a little getting use to as I had to do the same as the brake pedal foot but not as bad. I am sure as I get use to it will be fine. I rode the bike home which was close to 2 hrs and they were very comfortable as long as I didn't have to move my feet to shift or break.

Only really bad thing was the bike sat for the last 20 months. She is in really good hands now.
