Default Anyone Watching the Isle of Mann TT?

That is one scary race. (Though it looks about like a CBRclassic video). It is on DirecTV in HD and the HD portions, especially the slow motion shots, are incredible.

37 mile "laps" through two lane black top, in real towns with little to no safe crash points. Beautiful country but no protection for the riders. These guys are brave. McGuiness has now won about 15 times.

Looks like Honda took the top three spots in the Superbike category.

And if you want to hear some great accents, listen to the interviews prior to the race.

The IOM TT is the dogs b0llocks , I love MotoGP and WSB but street racing is the best and yes these guys need to have guts!

At one time all these old street races would have been part of the normal race routine for track racers as well. But could you imagine the likes of Rossi or Lorenzo risking life and limb in this type of race now? The teams wouldn't allow it even if they wanted to!Though he did turn up , but not to race

Here he is:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tojHoqp8WIQ

Do they still allow "mad Sunday" or has that been stopped? Used to be a free for all where anybody could pay a small fee, sign their life literally away and then go for it. Those guys are mental! Those metre thick rock walls don't give much, not to mention the jumps in the course. There's a company here who do package deals to ship your bike over, then fly you over with accomodation etc. included....When one of us wins big that's where we should all go to ride and play up

It used to be the British GP circuit till the riders lost their bottle (or grew a brain, depends on your view I suppose) back in the early '70's
If you can find it, watch the lap that Joey Dunlop did on the CBR1100R, that man new the island like the back of his hand

***** the size of grapefruit, and brains the size of peas- that's what you need for the Isle of Man. It's one of the things on my list for when I win the Lotto !
Imagine all the mad coots on Hurricanes tackling that monster together....................
