Going by the photos it looks a very clean unit, the way it presents the 30K would seen genuine.

Would be a nice buy

Thanks. AJ

Was wondering about some of the aftermarket thingies. Are those heated grips and what's the digital bit on the dash?

...and the bi-planar screen. How are those at freeway speeds?

The bike's about 45 min. from me and an excuse to head out to the peninsula for a ride. Might just check it out this weekend

A 45 minute ride is a good excuse to go have a look.

If all should work for you, next question is can you hide it for long enough that Mrs WD doesn't really notice it until it's too late?

You know the drill : "That old thing, I've had it for ages. I distinctly remember telling you when I bought it and you actually didn't seem that interested at the time. I think you were talking to your sister on your cellphone when I mentioned it. Very quietly"

They do it to us with clothes and shoes all the time, I'm sure it works both ways.

There's the rub, Teeks. I'd have to give up the old road dog.

Something that would kill me. Aye, she's down at the heels, but has never let me down and has done all that I've ever asked of her and beyond

Any new bike, for the sake of domestic tranquility, means shedding the old one.

Wish I had a shed for all of them but, alas

Then again, what's the harm in a little look-see?

Slightly Freudian slip I think there Woofer; "shedding the old one" may refer to the act of hiding the old one in a shed.

"Shedding" may also refer to "getting rid of/disposing" .

Please refer to SebationBear for further hints and tricks specifically regarding to the exact definition of shedding. He seems to be a master at adopting the first definition rather than the second.

I have the exact same grips. Not heated, but they were highly rated by a magazine. I went out to the garage, but there was no name on them.

The digital bit looks like the one made by Aerostich. Very highly rated. Time, temperature and something else. I just got the latest Aerostich catalog, but it's not in there.

Wind screens are a personal thing depending on your size, posture, and where you sit on the bike. Just depends where the wind hits you and the noise. The stock 1000F screen's wind hit me in the neck. I have the Zero Gravity Sport Touring screen and the wind hits the top of my helmet now. Offer him $2,900. From the NADA site: 1996 Honda CBR1000FT Standard Equipment, Prices & Specs - NADAguides

Eggsactly TK!

Maybe I should just say,

Hey, Honey. Look what the tide just washed up!

Had to bring it home or the seagulls would've got it."

Can I keep it?

A little help here, Seb?
