Stupid to leave it to people's speculation.

For example the only reason I see for such a drastic measure is something that has a good chance of killing a rider under normal riding circumstances.

 

People may see that they stand behind their product with a recall. Honda has always been quick to fix problems and that's one reason they sell products. Toyota on the other hand has been trying to slip chit under the rug. When you try to bone the customer, you loose sales.

 

Yeah , I don't think it will hurt 'em too much other than lost revenue in the short term.

If they had left those units out there and major problems came a calling en masse later
then ......that would have a more severe negative impact for their reputation in the
long term imo ......
