I live in the people`s Republic of Massachusetts. I bought the bike of ebay 2 yrs. ago and was told it ran great. NOT! I had to have all 4 carbs rebuilt, fuels system flushed and cleaned, new fork seals. the clutch slipped so I had the master and slave cylinders rebuilt and new brakes front and rear. I paid $2700. for the bike and have had all the work done at a Honda dealer to the tune or $2200.00. I have a new front fairing that is gray and a new head gasket. New Battlax tires also. I`d be asking $3000.0 of BO. Phone is 781-981-2827/work or 978-502-4924

Thumbs up 1987 Hurricane

I`m 55 yrs. old and my back can`t take the position anymore. I need a UJM type bike. I have all receipts from the Honda dealer for repair work done.

No luck. The bike will be 25 yrs. old in 2 yrs, which makes it a classic. It runs like brand new. The Hurricane has a few cosmetic things that need to be fixed but where can you get a bike like that for under $3000.0. It`s just been broken in. I`ve owned a 1973 350G, 1980 CB750F,1984 Sabre 750, 1982 CB900F, 1986 SC700s and a 2002 ST1100. This is the original superbike.

Kelly Blue Book is $1250 for it right now. Good Luck.

And what is the condition of the average 1987 Hurricane? How much work do you think you`s have to put in to make it a reliable everyday rider. A 1987 Hurricane in excellent condition w/1200 miles is considerably worth more than $1200.00
