My good friend and neighbor Bob came by yesterday with his
1925 Model T ..........which is 100% original (except oil battery and tires)

Thought some of you would like to see one of these ..... two speeds forward
and a reverse........... Simply amazing .......wooden spokes with metal rims !

Yeah........in 1st a bit rough into second she flys and runs amazingly smooth
I was blown away by how she ran..........going to do a HD vid of it soon
He's only a few houses down and loves people who appreciate it..............

DAO it is and I mean IS 100% all original........flippin' mind boggleing

 

Those things were built to last. Not like the crap of today.
It will not miss a beat on ethanol either.
I like the smell of a new car but I love the smell of an antique car.

 

Original condition, unrestored - has to be worth a MINT !
I wonder what it would fetch at a classic auction on the right day................?

Well he's had it in his family since new I think and he's an anitque dealer like his Daddy before him and I would have to say he has no plans on parting with it.

I'll try and get a vid of it in the next few weeks ......the sound and the ride when
you are in it it what makes it so much more unbeliveable. The frame is wood wrapped with "channel" steel..........ah it's really something to see in person.

 

When I was growing up my neighbor collected antique cars. He had a 1929 Buick that I liked. One of the things that I remember about the car was that it had wooden spokes.

Here is a link for one for sale. The fenders have been repainted though. I can just imagine that one with original paint would bring more money to the collector.

The condition of that model T is amazing. Such a rarity!
Someone was meticulous about how it was stored and cared for. There are so many variables that factor into having a T in original working condition that it isn't even funny.

TBT, that's a dam cool car, too. There was a guy down the street from me selling a '28 frame a few weeks ago. Didn't last long, and that was just an old original frame.

I've known a local guy here all my life who builds hotrods and restores old cars. It's my sister's best friend's dad. He's good, too. He's got albums full of restores he's done. Some of them are just amazing.
He restored a '34 Coupe a couple years ago, and was approached at a bar by a guy who offered him a brand new Expedition for it. He declined the Expedition, but settled on $19,000 in cash and an $8,000 cashier's check! lol..
The hot rod guy is funny, too. He came into the bar the following night with pockets full of cash and was buying us all drinks.
He's the same guy that offered me that mint '67 Chevelle SS/427 for $12k. And I turned it down...
