HOW TO: 12v outlet
Then you cut a hole is this panel like so. The size may vary depending on the outlet you buy. You can get these at Walmart pretty cheap. I would reccomend that you get something with a waterproof cap.

I used the headlight relay very near the fusebox as my power source. Use a light tester and make sure you get the power side and not just the high beams. If you don't, your outlet will only work depending on the position of your high beam switch.

This is what the relays look like. I used the one with the green tape on it. I think the other one is for your turn indicators.

Now, using crimp-on connectors, tap into the wire carrying the power. On my '95 it was the black with red stripe. You will splice in the wire that is carrying the fuse.

Good job buddy. I just connect straight to the battery with any extra power related stuff I put on my bikes. I also put a switch on mine under the seat so there isn't power running to whatever it is all the time. They are a very handy thing to have on a bike the 12v outlet but I reckon I would find somewhere else to put it. Don't think I could bear cutting holes out of the fairings !!!!! Well done though. Looks like you nailed it. Cheers.
