Coolant Flush
 

Make sure you park it (Use the center stand) where it does not matter where it'll do a mess.

1. On the left side of your bike at the water pump there is a drain plug (See pic 1 - I already removed it here)2. One that's removed, place a container about 2 feet away from it. Remove the radiator cap the you'll see the coolant come out.3. As for the coolant reservoir, i used a manual sump pump that i got at Harbor Freight to suck out the coolant in it.
4. Put back in the drain plug. At the radiator cap fill it with distill water, all the way up to the neck, then fill with distill water the coolant reservoir up to the upper level line.
5. Run bike for 10 min.
6. LET IT COOL OFF before proceeding with the steps below; otherwise, you'll get burn as the water gets EXTREMELY hot.
7. ONCE COOL OFF. Remove drain plug again. Remove Radiator cap preferable with a towel, just in case it's not too cool off. You don't want steam on your face.
8. Repeat steps 4,5,6,7 again
9. Make sure you don't see the distil water coming out with coolant residual. If it still does then you can put more water in it to rinse it out. This is not really necessary but i'm very meticulous when it comes to details. LOL

10. Repeat step 3
11. Plug in the drain plug, Fill in coolant from the radiator cap up to the filing neck. Place the radiator cap back in. Fill in reservoir coolant tank up to the upper level line.

you forgot 12 - replace empty liquid refreshment of choice for new one :)

Good job mate. After I do a coolant change I check it over the next few days to ensure the level stays correct. Air can sometimes remain in the system and the level can drop a little bit once it works its way out. I've only ever had to top up a little bit a couple of times.

@Bordo: Thanks for the info. I never done a coolant flush before. I will make sure to check today once i get home.
