Exactly where do these parts fit (ref 1. PLATE, 14542-MM5-000 2. PLATE, OIL GUIDE 14541-MM5-011) ?

Being a late arriver to the sport bike scene (and riding in general), it's a bit sad to see forums that were once thriving become so underpopulated.
On the plus side, the few that I belong to seem to be experiencing a little resurgence. Small numbers definitely let you get to know folks a lot quicker and those that stuck around definitely know their stuff!

I had some issues with my back and sold my bikes 2 years ago, today I feel better after having had some repair work done on my spine. Consequently, I have started to get back into bikes and now have replaced my CBR-929RR with a new to me used bike and also bought a 95 CB-1000 from my brother. Love both bikes although Big Red is a heavy bike for me, I dropped it in my garage not long ago and it was all I could do to pick it up, I had to take the tank and seat off and use a floor jack to get it back to a point where I could put it back upright. The 929 is much lighter for me and is one reason I love the early 900's so much.
So, after all this reading I have a question. Does anybody know why the cam chain tensioner fails? My 95 has noise as it warms up, it has about 53K miles and the tensioner noise is annoying at best.
So, I remain a loyal Honda man in Phoenix, AZ. Here are my steeds, the 929 is undergoing a superbike bars retrofit. Just cant do clipons anymore.

The only reason I can think of is due to the spring losing it's strength over time, which is ridiculous. Honda clearly designed it to fail, although some folks report that the new ones hold up a lot longer. I replaced the OEM one 3 years/16,000 miles ago and it is not making any noise... yet.
