Good**** man. I did the same thing. Only instead of matte, me and my buddy put a custom army digi cam desigin on it..hand drawn. lmao...i mean the **** turned out good, too bad later that day dude laid it down and mucked it up pretty good...but was impressed, ill be able to drop a pic in a week or so...

Another thing I can say is....I have done a lot of personal prep and in the end all I needed to do was take it to get the powdercoat...its a nice way to lessen the cost

It looks so good ,nice job :3. I just finished sanding down my helmet yesterday ,and I'm gonna get some cans to spray it ,I was thinking about black for the main color ,and some detailed lines with green and red ;s I'll use some tape to cover the main color and do the details , I can upload a few pics when its done if someone wants.

quite a tidy job dude and matte black paint is always a treat. i much preferred the sanded down look to be honest haha that looked badass.

in terms of helmet construction it should be safe enough to paint modern helmets but older ones use a material which is easily deteriorated by certain chemicals. i can't for the life of me remember the difference in materials right now though. but you have to watch out with paint, certain cleaners and even stickers apparently.

woahh just realised how old the original post is haha but yea nikolai id like to see that
