SIRR1 how hard was it to polish the inside portion, I thought about doing this but it looked like a pain in the ***? any way both rims are done now can i be a member of the polished rim club PLEASE!! lol

Damn brother! You DID that. That's gonna look good when you get done. Very original, instead of the "too flashy" chrome look. I like it.

It took me about 4 hours front and back but they are a pain to keep clean.. Im thinking about doing the rim completely.

Once you get the rim polished the way you like, clean the rim with isopropyl alcolhol ($0.99 at CVS) and let airdry.

Then coat the rim with a clear spray paint and you won't have to clean the bare aluminum each time you wash your bike.

So you just stripped the rim down to the chrome? Is that how you got them so shiny?

to everyone with chrome or polished rims..
as soon as you finish cleaning off the buffing compound take you rims to get powdercoated w/clear should cost around 50+ per wheel youll save time from cleaning the chrome or getting mineral deposits of the polished aluminum..
