I just ordered a factorypro kit for my F2. All it is is the spring for the detent arm I believe. I asked about the full EVO star kit but they aren't compatible with the F2 apparantly. When I take mine all apart firstly I will be using this guide to assist me, but I'll try and post up some pics of the F2 setup as well. Just my way of giving back, haha.

anyway, I've been looking over the service manual and everything looks pretty much identical, but is there anything that I should pay extra attention to? This is an excellent howto for sure.

WOW absolutley awsome how-to. This is something I am definatly interested in doing. Thanks to thirdgenlxi, this taks doesn't seem as bad to do. Do the gears shift smoother now with less "clunk"? Also, is the shifter any harder to shift since I assume the new spring is heavier? Thanks, keep up the good work.

Thanks!! Yea there's definitely less clunk and it does feel smoother and faster from what it was before. The shift pedal is definitely a little bit stiffer too. Although it's kinda hard for me to tell right now since my bike still has a transmission problem... 2nd is picky and 3rd is really bad (worn dogs and grooves). Next weekend I'm tearing the transmission apart and replacing 2nd, 3rd, and 6th gears along with the 3 shift forks. I'll be able to get a little better idea of how it feels after that's done. I'll probably post up a how-to on that too, but might not be quite as detailed since I'll be in kind of a hurry

Amazing! Love your work Jared. Very detailed and informative... Honda wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you.
