I've got leds placed in my engine bay already, but I'll still try this soon. Maybe this week. Very nice write up man. Very detailed. I only want them for the turn signals, but in red to light up with the tail light.

ORIGINAL: cbrjeeper

I'll be greedy and ask for both

One other question, they aren't wired up as a running light also? Or, brake? They are just for a turn signal, correct? I'm not real eletronics savy. Do the LED's only have one amount of light output? I already have one kit of the LED's you pictured that i was going to use in the engine area.

yeah its only for signal!! im sure there's a way to wire them up as are the tail lights but im not sure how!! oh and as for the pics ill post them on here tonight after i get off work!

I wonder if you get a multi color led if you could get it to flash yellow with the blinkers but still manage to get them to turn red when you hit the brakes.

You could drill 4 holes, and, mount 2 red led's and wire them for the brake, and, 2 yellow, or, whatever color LED's to wire up for your turn signal, but, the wiring would probably be a rats nest.

Dang, they look pretty friggen bright. Now, not to jack this thread, but, does anyone know if F3 pegs mount up to an F2? The passenger pegs? Cause, F2's are held by a rod, not the aluminum you can drill out. If they swap, i'm def. doing this mod!!

The F3 pegs wont work. I have an F3, and the only way I could do it is if I drill and mount the leds on the side of the peg, kind of defeating the whole purpose of putting more light in the rear. There is a small piece of aluminum in the way on the pegs. I was going to do it, but I went out anf took a closer look at my pegs.

If you look in my gallery at the close up of the tail, you can see the small U-shaped pieces welded on there.
