Default CBR 600 F3 Seat Cowl

Had a bit of time on my hands so i decided to c if i can make a seat cowl.
Well you can judje the result.
First of all you'll need a fibre glass kit. Or you can get fibre glass sheets, epoxy and epoxy hardener seperatly.
Thats what i got

Now take off your seat and tape the back of it, just where the cowl would be( i used just some masking tape)

Now out of a piece of wall insulater ( dont know what its exactly called but its been used for pakaging TVs and so on) and cut the shape you want your cowl to look like.

When u r happy with the shape, put it on the seat and tape it to the seat all over the plaice

now, mix the epoxy with the hardener, lay some sheets of the fibre glass on the seat and using a brush start covering the fibre glass with the mix.

I did the top part first and let it dry.

Now once its dry take the shape off the seat( it might stick to the seat a bit so work it off slowly)
Once its off put it back on and start aplying some of the mix to the buttom part of the cowl, making sure the fabre glass is going under neath the seat. Once thats done take the cowl off once more. Trim off any fibre glass from under the seat that you dont need. It shoul hug the seat nice and tight, but not too tight so you can make it removable.
now you can take the original shape off the underneath the cowl and take all the tape off the seat.
You are ready for some sending. Once its sended aply some body filler( you can get it in any good auto store, try to get flexible one so it wont crack)

Sand it again working out the exact shape. I had to aply the body filler 3 times to get rid of all the imperfections.
Once you are happy with it sand it with finer paper, and then finer again untill the whole serfice is as smoth as babys bum( i didnt have time so i just left it with imperfections wich are clearly visible at close range)
Now you are ready for paint spraying.
I gave it 6 coats.

Now just few stickers for a finished look and we are ready to rock the track

Thanks.
P.S.It wouldve looked 100% better if i sanded it properly. might resand and respray once i have more time, but for now that'll do.

I give ya an A+ for effort! Looks like a fun project and really not too far into the difficult area. I actually like messing around with fiberglass myself, once you learn it seems to take away a bodyworking fear. Good work!
