Default Never forgotten

Three years ago the world lost a Gentleman, Warrior, Father, Husband, Mentor, and my Friend.

The Well of Sadness

There's a well, which as a child is unknown to us, hidden from us by those who shield us from pain.
The loss of family and friends or the hurts to come are yet still years away
But as we grow older, we learn of the well, and the waters it contains.
The water is always sweet, and pure, as are the memories of those we have lost along life's path.
Friends and family gone, leaving a void which cannot be filled, except by one's own passing,
But until that day we drink ever more frequently from the well, knowing our own time becomes shorter with each passing day.

Our pain of loss is healed in part by the sweet waters and the knowledge that one day
The body will be young again, and we will see all those who passed before us, smiling there to greet us.
In a place where there is no well of sadness, just a spring of hope, and rebirth.............

For my friend Timothy A Wilkinson
"Gunny"
Passed from this life 9th October 2009
Gone, never forgotten.
For Christie, Ryan and Morgan with abiding respect and affection.
Always in my thoughts.

To lose a close, deeply loved friend is to lose part of yourself.

RIP 'Gunny'

Shadow, be glad he was part of your life for the time he was there. Toast the good times, remember well the life he lived and his legacy lives on with you.

Take care,
SB

I never knew "Gunny", but did get to know him a little by reading his posts on here.
Prayers to his family and to you, Shadow.
