Default Winter storage in the bedroom.

I'm about to put my 600RR away for the winter

But I thought it would be awesome to have it stored in my bedroom. Space isn't an issue, but I am worried about my safety. How worried do I have to be about fumes and such? Any precautions I should take?

Would emptying the fuel tank completely be a bad idea (rust, etc?)

I keep mine in the living room during the winter. Don't drain or anything, never noticed any fumes or smells. I have tires in there too, they smell more than anything.

On long road trips, I always pull the bike into the hotel room and have had no issues.

I've stored my bikes in the living room for 3 years without any issues. The only time I have any smells is right after I am finished riding it and pull it in the house.

Awesome! Thanks guys

I think it will be a pretty sweet bedroom piece haha

Any winterizing I'd have to do other than battery removal? Seeing as its going to basically be in a nice hot room all winter.

Now I'll sound crazy, but I took it a step further, and mounted a PVC pipe in the wall with an exterior cap that I can remove and on the inside, connect a hose to it and to the exhaust so I can run the bike from time to time. Put it on front and rear stands. So, I don't do anything to it, really. Connect a battery tender maybe, but I can change oil, etc.
