I'm gonng start getting Purolator PureOne filters. They seem to be the best. Heck, the cheapo SuperTechs that walmart sells are said to be better than oem.

they are. it's funny, a $3 filter outperforms a $12 filter... the difference? One is black and has HONDA painted on the outside...

stealership is 4 bucks more than a smaller local shop for the filter. so my choice is apparent.

I'll get mine from wherever I buy the oil from. Not work going all over to find a cheaper filter to save $4. If I am at a store and they have one, then I will buy cheaper from other than oil dealer.

Since I had seen test data a few years ago on Fram units, I only use Purolator or another brand and NOT Fram.

I just looked up the CBR filters and found that the cross references for these are also used on other brand bikes. The Purolator equal is ML16817, but their PL14612 or PL14610 will also work. I found the 14612 at Amazon for less than $6 a two pack. Since I can easily find some other stuff to reach the $25 free shipping threshold, less tha three bucks a filter is amazing!

Just cause it has a name on it doesnt mean its great. Good, ya, but not great. As important as an oiling system is, I'm going with great.
