your new chain didn't come with a master-link and a clip?

how odd...

I wouldn't trust the clip type on todays bikes. I think he's looking for the rivet tool.

I've seen them many palces. Try a google search and they shouldn't be too hard to find.

Brad@Superbike Supply. Check the site sponsors. The Motion Pro tool seems to work very well!

I have one I picked up at a local cycle gear. It's the Motion Pro set

I read some reviews on it and got it. Used it on a buddies bike a couple of times and works great. Just don't get in a rush and don't use the little metal bar they give you with the kit to turn press the rivets out if press new ones in. It will break. It's a hex head that a wrench will fit so I just use a socket or wrench. You'll be surprised at how easy the rivets press out. I just wanted to have it so when the time came for me to put a new chain on my 600RR, I'll have it and know what to do.

the AMA and FIM use clip type chains all the time. they trust them, and their bikes have 2 times the HP and Torque.

Not starting an arguement... but do you have anything we can read that states AMA and FIM allow master links?

Please... don't think it's a smart *** comment, I didn't know they allow clips and would like to know if they do.

No, nothing you can read... Just go to a race and look at the bikes!

there's always the rule book...
