well if your at the marks now , your better off just replacing
looks like the previous owner put on a 520 kit no biggie cheaper to replace and more readily available

plus its lighter

count the number of teeth on both sprockets , that will tell you what you have now
like i said your better off replacing it then taking a chance
how many miles on that chain

here just get a new kit

The picture only tells that it appears someone "oiled" the chain which you shouldn't do on an o-ring chain. They are greased inside the orings and typically oiling the outside either does nothing or it actually breaks down the grease if it works its way inside. There are specific methods to relube an oring chain if one must. Basically it should only be kept clean until it needs replacement.

That and a 520 is not the stock size so the chain set has been replaced.

You have to look straight on and see if the teeth form a perfect vertical U, which is sometimes hard to tell. As it wears the U will start to lean forward.

But in any case if the tension indicators show replacement, then replace it.

apples and oranges there

its a 520 chain and sprocket = pitch of the chain , the 520 is just a lighter set up , the whole lighter is faster thing

sprocket gearing is the amount of teeth you have on each sprocket , true rearing is changing gears in the transmission

That number stamped into the rear sprocket is the teeth. Xxxxx-46. 46 teeth. Fyi.

doesn't look stock. May not be stock gearing judging by the aftermarket rear sprocket

This means the indicators on the swingarm mean nothing.

The only way to tell is by checking the sideways play and a stretch measurement from rivet to rivet. You can find how to do this on the manufacturers website. It also tells you in the maintenance section of the shop manual for your bike
