Whats your opinion on manuals????
In the JCWitney catalog they have both the Clymer and the Haynes manual for my 97 900rr. The Haynes is only 20.00 and the Clymer is 25.00. I don't want to buy both just to find out which one is better. I have the Clymer for my Banshee that got stolin. It is very informative but I never seen a Haynes manual for anything. Please help me choose by telling me your opinion.

RE: Whats your opinion on manuals????
Never had a Clymer. Being an "ex" mechanic now just a friendly helper and having about 15-20 Haynes, I love them. Anything that can get you through a complete engine - clutch rebuild on a 2.3 Quad engine they only made 1,146 of without any problems gets a A+ in my book. Not knocking the Clymer though. Just always stuck to what has always worked for me. By the way, if anyone needs any pages of help from a manual, pm me and chances are if it is a common car or truck from 85 up I should be able to help out. Can scan and e-mail in PDF if needed.

Not too sure about Haynes manuals for bikes, but I've got a 2000 ZR2 Blazer that is just about at repair manual age, and the Haynes manual has proven itself as a worthwhile investment. It's very detailed and easy to follow. I have very little mechanical experience, but I've managed to make some pretty extensive repairs by using it.
