No, it's a camchain tensioner.
Why do you think you need a new one ?

Yep, i have had an introduction to the critical care transport (airborn style) awhile back from a fight lol. brass knuckles are no joke.

Anyways, I was reading through some posts about throttle reaction time and somebody suggested that it might help with a CCT replacement. I just want my throttle to respond faster. It seems to have a second of lag when i flick it full-on. No matter what gear. Its a bit quicker with a warmer engine but still feels slipish.

Nah, might help if your camchain is really stuffed, but you'd probably improve your throttle response by doing a valve adjustment.

I would not do a cct based on throttle response. If you have that much slack in your timing chain that it effects response, your chain should be making a noise you would definatly hear. Most likely its a carb issue than a cct, dirty, or out of sync perhaps. Also if your carbs arent fueling well, your plugs could be suffering as well, could just be time for a tune up.

Gah, back to the syncing idea. lol i have been looking for as many ways to avoid having to sync as possible. I guess its just what has to be done.

I will tune it up first. new plugs, wires, ect. Hopefully that makes a difference.

well from a ease standpoint, Syncing the carbs a whole lot easier than changing out your CCT.
