Default what size can i go up too?>

on a 2007 cbr 1000rr can i go up to a 200 series rear tire? i would think that it would give me more grip on the streets.

Well you'd be dead wrong. you can go to a 200 series tire, but by doing so you change the natural profile of the tire to be more pointed in the center because you're pinching in the sides to fit the tire. however it depends on the tire. if it made for the 1000RR rim width (6 inch?) then yeah, you'd have an extra 5mm of grip...

if you're looking for more grip, try using a hypersport tire like the CorsaIII.

exactly. and besides your stock swing arm couldnt fit a 200 i dont think.... and you would lose your turning ability as well.....

ok i guess i'll just stick with the oem 190. will the cbr beatthe 2002 gsxr 1000?? i use to have a 98 fireblade 900rr and i loved it but the cbr doesn't have the most HP out of the 1000 series bikes out now. the new bikes seem to be heavier then the older bikes. will hte cbr beat the other bikes?? opinions.

the new bikes are not heavier than the old bikes...much lighter. if it feels heavy then it's probably rider technique in getting the bike around. more experience on the bike should cure that.

as far as the RR beating the same year gixxer...given same rider ability...and in a straight away...most likely not....but it would be close.

now in the twisties...different ball game.
