Default What the heck is this???

Ok, the idle has always been a bit high, I was told that this was due to the aftermarket pipe.....

My hand bumped this "dial" yesterday and it seems to adjust the idle.

Help? Is that indeed what this is for?

And yes, I have ordered a manual for the CBR...

Here is a shot:

It's called the throttle stop screw.

Yes it's used to adjust the idle.

Mine is an 04 f4i and it is on the left side near the front sprocket cover, but looks exactly the same so i'm sure they are the same.

My idle is 1300 +/- 100 rpm's at normal operating temp.

hope that helps.

Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in, im new and know just from f'n around with the bike and manual.

Thanks Delta!!

I appreciate that!

And 1300 seems about right.

Enjoy your day!
